I’m still looking for volunteers! We have the opportunity to earn a little bit of much-needed cash during the Mission Concert by allowing cars to park on our land. There is already strong interest. We will provide transport to Church Road for the concert goers, but need volunteers. If you have an afternoon to spare please reply to: neil@taradaleclub.co.nz or drop your name off at the club.

TIPPING & PUNTING 2012
Graham White (Tipping) and Noel Lister (Punters) are coordinating this year and taking names now.

CLASSIC ALE* TIPPING kicks-off on 24th February and includes a selection of National & International fixtures (including the entire Super 15 competition) plus selected other sports matches of interest. There will be weekly and special prizes. Hawke’s Bay Independent Brewery with their *re-branded ‘Mates’ will provide a weekly prize. Entry will be $5 a week and includes a couple of ‘hospitality’ occasions. Information and registering details on notice boards.

TUI PUNTERS CLUB attracted a strong following last year. Noel has agreed to be front-man and wants to get going as soon as possible.  $10 weekly limited to 40 members for 40 weeks. Two punters will “invest” $200 each a week. Noel has the Game Rules and taking names. Plans are to run some incentives (to be at the club) on Saturdays between 2pm & 5pm include a handle draw, 2nd chance draw and may be introduce a punters school

‘MATES’ re-brand *CLASSIC ALE
While clubbies throughout the North Island have been enjoying Mates for more than a decade, Basil & HBIB have been slowly growing their portfolio of beers and branching out to other areas. Their packaged beer is not only on the shelves in leading restaurants and wineries….. It is exported to Australia! Basil and his team have completed their market research and taken the advice that their image and status needs a big shake-up. Mates Draught currently on tap at the club will be re-branded to CLASSIC ALE. But….. There is absolutely no change to the flavor. HBIB’s portfolio describes CLASSIC ALE: rich malt with mild hop characteristics, which add fruitiness and a pronounced bitterness to this CLASSIC ALE. It is still batch-brewed using traditional methods, cold filtering gives its smooth, crisp finish. Look for Classic Ale and some re-brand special handles next week.

PURE BREWED ALE 4% alc/vol with no added sugar

PURE BREWED ALE was introduced last week with $3 handle specials and has gone down well. Another local product from HBIB, its portfolio reads: Roasted Barley is used to give this pure brewed ale its copper color and subtle malt sweetness. NO added sugars, just barley, hops & yeast giving you a refreshing ‘PURE’ experience.

CARLSBERG ON TAP
CARLSBERG PILSNER
one of the world’s truly international beer brands will now be available for the first time in NZ on tap. Offering a Premium 5% European Lager on tap widens the clubs range of tap beers. Coming next week.

ALL CARLSBERG BEER IS POURED IN COLD BRANDED GLASSWARE AND SERVED WITH A CARSLBERG COASTER.

For the train spotter; Carlsberg Pilsner is a well proportioned bottom-fermented lager beer with hops, grain, pine needles, sorrel and Danish summer apples. Carlsberg Pilsner is available in one size branded glass $5.
